Where It All Started For Chem-Dry
Robert Harris began working his way through law school in the 1970’s as a carpet cleaner working for another company. He found that he was not happy with the performance of available cleaning products and began researching a better solution. Harris’ research stretched into many years of studying the chemical properties and reactions of a variety of cleaning formulas combined with experimentation that required him to continually clean carpets with a succession of cleaning formulations.
Eventually, Robert Harris discovered his ideal cleaning formula—a unique carbonated solution that delivered exceptional results while containing no harsh chemicals. Harris founded Chem-Dry, and as word spread about his innovative cleaning process, demand quickly grew. What started as a small network of franchises in the early 1970s has expanded into thousands of locations worldwide, including Delta Chem-Dry in Santa Monica, continuing a legacy of high-quality carpet and upholstery cleaning.
We also serve the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
